Customer Journey Guide

Every customer, a better journey.

Everything you need to know about mapping and improving your customer engagement journey with us: what it is, how it works and how to prepare. Plain English, no surprises.

01 · What it is

Every touchpoint, working together.

Your customer engagement journey is every moment someone interacts with you: from first hearing your name, to buying, to telling their friends. We map it with you, find where people drop off or get frustrated, then fix it with better messages, smarter tools and simple automation.

Map it

See your business through your customers' eyes, stage by stage, with your team in the room.

Understand it

Talk to real customers and look at your data to find what's really happening, not what we assume.

Improve it

Quick wins first, then the CRM, emails, automations and feedback loops that make it consistent.

02 · How it works

Built around your customers, and your team.

We don't arrive with a template. Every journey starts with a discovery workshop, because the people who talk to your customers every day know things no software does.

03 · Our promise

Customer-first. Tool-agnostic. Consent-first.

Customer engagement touches your reputation and your customers' data. Here's how we look after both.

Customer-centred

Every recommendation is based on what your customers actually do and say, not on what a tool wants to sell you.

Use what you have

We work with your existing tools wherever possible. New software only when it clearly pays for itself.

Consent-first

Every email, text and tracking tool is designed around UK GDPR and PECR. Trust is the whole point.

Measured results

Clear before-and-after numbers: response times, conversions, repeat business, reviews.

04 · Your engagement

A brief for your kind of project.

Most clients start with an audit or a mapping workshop, then choose what to build. Your proposal will say which of these apply to you.

Journey audit

A fast, expert review of your customer journey as it is today, with a prioritised list of improvements. Ideal if you want quick answers before committing to more.

What we'll handle

  • Mystery-shopping your journey: enquiring, buying and getting support
  • Reviewing your website, emails, reviews and response times
  • A light review of your tools and data
  • A clear report: what to fix first and why

What we need from you

  • Read-only access to your key tools (website, CRM, email platform)
  • Any customer feedback, complaints or reviews
  • A 60-minute call with whoever handles customers day to day
05 · Getting ready

How to get the most from your workshop.

The discovery workshop is where the magic happens. A little preparation makes it twice as valuable.

Bring the front line

Invite the people who talk to customers every day (sales, support, reception, delivery) alongside leadership.

Gather the evidence

Recent reviews, complaints, common questions and any survey results. Real customer words beat assumptions.

Bring the numbers

Enquiries per month, conversion rates, repeat customers, response times. Rough figures are fine.

List your tools

Every system that holds customer data or talks to customers. Use our tools & data audit template.

Line up customers

Up to five customers (happy and less happy) willing to chat for 30 minutes. We'll handle the rest, with consent.

Agree what success means

More enquiries? Faster responses? More repeat business? Better reviews? Pick the two or three that matter most.

06 · Tools, data & ownership

Your customers. Your data. Your tools.

Every system is set up in your organisation's name, with us invited as a user. Your customer data never lives on our accounts.

CRM

Your CRM account is yours, on your subscription. We configure it and can be removed at any time.

Email & SMS platforms

Lists, templates and automations live in your account, with full history.

Analytics & dashboards

Google Analytics, Looker Studio and reports are owned by your Google account.

Journey maps & playbooks

Workshop outputs, personas, maps and how-to guides are yours to keep and share.

Customer data

You are the data controller. We only process data on your instructions, under our data agreement.

Automations

Every automation is documented so your team (or anyone else) can understand and change it.

Please never send passwords or customer data by email or through our forms. Invite hello@lifegrowth.digital as a user on each tool. If data needs to be transferred, we'll set up a secure, encrypted method and delete our copy when the work is done.
08 · Investment & terms

Big-agency thinking. Small-business prices.

Every project is quoted after your discovery call, so you only pay for what will make a difference. These starting points help you plan. Full rates and retainers are on our Start a project page.

About CEJ

What exactly is a customer engagement journey?

It's every interaction someone has with your organisation, from first hearing about you to buying, using and recommending. Improving it means more enquiries, more sales and happier, more loyal customers.

Is this just email marketing?

No. Email is often part of it, but we look at the whole experience: your website, how quickly you respond, how you onboard people, how you ask for reviews and how your team works together. Sometimes the biggest win is a process change, not new software.

We're small. Is this for us?

Absolutely. Small organisations often see the fastest results, because a few simple changes, such as a faster response to enquiries or an automatic review request, make a big difference.

Tools & data

Do we need to buy a new CRM?

Not necessarily. We work with your existing tools wherever possible. If you need something new, we'll recommend the most affordable option that fits, many of which have free plans.

Is our customer data safe with you?

Yes. We sign a data processing agreement, access your tools as a named user rather than taking copies, use two-factor authentication and delete any temporary data when we're done.

Can we email everyone on our list?

It depends how they joined. We'll check consent with you and help you contact people lawfully, which also improves your results, because engaged lists perform better.

Results & money

How soon will we see results?

Quick wins often show within weeks: faster responses, more reviews, fewer lost leads. Bigger changes build over two to three months as journeys run and we refine them.

How do you measure success?

We agree two or three key numbers at the start, such as enquiry response time, conversion rate, repeat purchases or review count, and report on them monthly.

Are there hidden costs?

No. Our fee is fixed and quoted upfront. Any tool subscriptions are listed in your proposal, and anything outside scope is quoted before work starts.

Do you offer charity rates?

Yes. Eligible charities, CICs and social enterprises get 15% to 25% off through our Nectar programme, depending on size and impact. Donor and supporter journeys are a speciality. See Nectar.
